Please be advised that due to the current fuel price increases caused by the Ukraine crisis, we have no alternative than to apply an Emergency Fuel Surcharge with effect from 01 April 2022 and applied on a monthly basis.
A Fuel Surcharge Escalator will be incorporated into our current pricing module. We feel that this is the most appropriate course of action as we are keen to be as transparent as possible and customers can see our fuel buying prices compared to forecourt prices.
The start price for the escalator will be set at £1.18 (net of vat) this has been calculated as the average cost from our fuel buying charges from December 2021, January 2022 and February 2022.
The monthly average cost will be averaged for the month previous and compared to the £1.18 base cost.
Fuel surcharge will be calculated as follows:
Fuel Proportion (The fuel percentage of our overall direct costs) – 25%
Fuel Base Price (Average fuel cost for December 2021, to Feb 22) – £1.18
Average fuel price for current month end (March 2022) – £1.47
Increase % – 24.58%
Fuel Proportion x Increase – 6.14%
The above information breakdown will be updated to you on a monthly basis and reflected on your sales invoice. Surcharge can also be found www.twawarehousing.co.uk
We are hoping that this will not be a permanent arrangement and should the cost of fuel drop to £1.18 the surcharge mechanism will lapse.
